I'm no Ford expert but I have seen some fitment issues with certain intakes.

Had one in a customer car. Ended up swapping all the advance stuff over to scavenged MSD stuff just to get it to work. Lasted six months and it all came unglued anyways - broken up inside. A new MSD out of the box fixed it for good. We've run a zillion Durasparks triggerring MSD 6AL boxes and never had any problem like that.Comment

I'm running a Pro Chinese unit I bought used for $40, it's working just fine. I would suggest running a good source of power though. You're not going to get more power to the plugs unless you supply more power to the distributor. I have my ignition switch controlling a relay that's fed by a #12 wire off the battery, fused ofcourse going to the HEI. As the saying goes, garbage in, garbage out.
I am thinking of going back to the old points distributor converted to electronic mostly because it's just so bulky and it's going to interfere with a Monte Carlo bar I want to install...I am not going to install a curved one.TomOverdrive is overrated
