I've been a member since 2010, been lurking since 2008 and never once have I heard that only Long Haulers can start a thread until "after" the tour has ended. Sorry Matt, but that's new to me.

actually, we had this same discusion last year. personally, it doesn't really matter who starts it, but it does seem kind of strange to start it before the end of this years PT.

by the way, my last post was just an observation, not an opinion. i didn't mean to start anything. sorry for that.

Phil, I (or anyone else) honestly don't think your post count has anything to do with the Pt countdown as the board would have to be about 18 years old....but out of curiosity then, what is the point of everybody and their brother acknowledging that there are 354 days left until pt 2013( with absolutely nothing else to share) and you won't see half of them on tour? i think it's hilarious that the FNGs are getting their backs up about it.

Hey!! I started the thread and nobody has even bothered to ask me why I did it or if I even knew about the "tradition".

I started the 2013 Countdown for several reasons. One, because I look foward to the next year even as this one starts. Two, because I am a long hauler. And three, because I sure felt at home in Detroit.

I will not attempt to start the countdown for 2014 to avoid the juvenile responses.

Mike, I do often post the count only. I do this right before I go to work in the morning so mainly it is meant as an inspiration to myself that the next get together with my friends is getting one more day closer.

Lighten up people!! This place is supposed to be about our friendships and sharing our experiences. It's not about who has the biggest penis, I'd loose that one for sure.

365... Looking at the calendar, June 1st is the first Saturday in June. It's just a guess but it looks like that day might be the kick off for 2013.

Jim, We are 2 days off on the count..... You started the count at 365 on June 3rd..... Today should be 352.....
