I drove my 55 1100 miles or so to Topeka last year, you can do it. I didn't stoop to using an overdrive or ac, but I do have cruise control.

Sure beats unloading the trunk or the bed of a truck... just unhook and done

I guess that depends on how you pack your trunk. I made a box to fit in mine, me and my copilot just lifted it out and back in. I guess if you don't mind driving 1200 miles each way to the event with a trailer, it wouldn't be a big deal to have one...but something about that doesn't appeal to me.

I'm building a trailer to tow while on drag week(not this year)...its gonna have a top
to make it water tight for all the gear.... I do drag a trailer going to the event but its
a 43' fifth wheel behind my diesel.... no way would I drive across the country without
something to drag it back home if it blew up..... JMO.... plus I stay in the trailer (LQ)
while on the road and the day before and after the event... save a few bucks on hotels

Unforunantely on the DW my 200 4R transmission would be the hardest part to repair and stay on time.

trailer only needed for spare trans,
but than i would carry junk like spare rear tires which u cannot get

DW i treat like a motorcycle Eurdo,
u have to finish and be on time to win

i carry spare iginition and headlight switches? stuff like that

believe me i am trying to win this bracket race!
run 11:70 for the Drag week with something in the tank for the end
