My old boss was ready to shoot me when I shattered a wheel on the centerless grinder we ran!
I didn't let the wheel run long enough for the coolant that built up at the bottom of the wheel (from sitting) to even out and balance the wheel before I brought it up to operating speed... It started shaking and I thought a belt was letting go and then BAM!!! chunks flying all over the shop.

it's not my fault that someone let a pallet of stones sit outside in the rain, and it's not a wheel, rather a spindle with individual stones bolted to it. The spindle turns one way and the table turns the other way.
