I had it fired for just a minute... I have a oil leak... the gasket
I have is too thin and the plate is bottoming out.. I'm gonna hit
the parts store tomorrow to see if they have the right one... or
get some gasket material... its suppose it be about .080 thick

I fired the car up today after fixing the oil leak(thats all better now).. but I
was having a weird electrical problem.. the truck starts fine BUT it doesnt
shut down all the time on a regular basis as of today... Dale(quick 52) and
I were talking and we sorta figured it was the ignition switch.. which on my
column is at the bottom of the column with a rod from the key down to the
switch... well I had the wife in and out of the cab the last 2 days and she has
a hard time getting in and out on the hoist with a BAD hip... I asked her if she
banged her foot into the column and she said she might have(a few times) so
I think she bumped the rod out and its now above the switch.. I have to look at
that tomorrow... hopefully its that easy of a fix.... sorry for the novel...... but
the truck is coming around.... it still hates me though(I have no doubt this thing
is gonna shit on me on DW the way its acted so far)

Also the 05 is getting close, front end shop is doing alinement and pinion angle. I now have appointment at Steve Morris Racing Engines for tuning next week. May test at Mid Michigan on 8-24. Can not wait to use a trans brake for the first time!

Mr. P-Body don't worry about the truck leaving you. It won't and besides it sounds like a bunch of those Mich guys would stop to help. And if they don't, I will.

I just want to see that little truck run. Looks good.

Went to the (LID) today with Rod,Rick & Dave... Had a great time Dave's Mustang put down some nice times for a car you can drive down to Woodward in.... It was a good day all 3 cars ran well and left running...

Test and tune

Dale, I understand that the Maroon Roadrunner went deep into the 11 teens, and that the Black Dart is expecting huge performance gains as soon as he throws away the .10 throttle linkage so he can finally get wide open throttle....should be good for some mid 11's if he can just spend a little of his money on a better throttle bracket....

Rick that roadrunner is a runner nice times today... The Dart ran well to for only using 1/2 throttle expect Rod to laid down some mid 11s at DW... Maybe Rod will even have a beer when he gets by the old farm truck

Glad to see you guys had a good outing and the cars ran well..
I worked on the truck for the last few days... got all my electrical
issues fixed ... I had to pull the whole dash out of it to find the elec
problems...but got it....and I washed that pig... damn it was filthy...
I had to spend a few hours getting the generator up and running so
the truck is done... tomorrow I'll hook back up to the trailer and start
working on it plus pull the race car out and get it in the shop
