    LSX powered ROLL CALL

It seems that alot of guys on here aren't too fond of the LS series engines...

Who else will be on Drag Week 2013 and what's your combo?

Stock LSs makes geat power. I have one in my Camaro but not sure if I would do it again. I can build a BBC (dump truck motor) cheaper and make more power.

You could build a BBC cheaper than a LS1? That's crazy.... these things are getting super cheap to mess with. Junkyard 6.0L with a cam and bolt-ons is an easy 500+hp. Take a junkyard 4.8/5.3/5.7/6.0 and do a homebrew turbo kit and make serious power or home ported heads with a cam and nitrous if you want.

Anyways, didn't want to debate in here really... just curious who else will be on DW.

I am on the waiting list, but if I make it in I will be driving a LS powered truck (or car if the truck is not done).
If it was easy, everyone would do it.

The LS engines are the way to go if u want to make cheap stupid power. Slap a turbo on one and go. If it breaks replace with another stock LS. Kinda like the honda guys.LOL. I think I saw at least 10 on DW last year.
used to be purplecobra, now just myself. I still drive a mustang!!!!!

1973 Camaro with a junkard 5.3 and bw S475. It is definately the cheapest way to make 900 hp. My buddy is in also with his twin turbo junk yard 5.3 s10
1973 Camaro Z Jy 5.3 & S475 10.99 on 6.5 lbs, cant wait to get the cage in

First hate to hear that you are on the waiting list Mike Copeland. Second if I get my SB/PA junk built and running it will be LSx powered. I have lost all my pride and self respect for putting a turbo LSx in a Fairmont. That being said the dyno mule mock up engine will be a cheap 4.8 with some craigslist 6.0 heads. Working most every night and recruited many friends as slave labor in this project. Its a two year build that will hopefully will be half done and running this years DW.

The waiting list is no big deal. I am not that far down, and I am pretty sure they will have more than enough drop out for me to get in. The trick will be finishing the truck in time. If it is not done in time I will bring my ZR1. Either way, whatever I bring will be LS powered.

To the OP, not everyone wants a Power adder, and the BBC would make more power than a LS and be cheaper making the same power Turbo less.
