I would say that 2010 was for me.. leaving Milan we ran into a storm that was out of the record books every body was trying to keep going ... the rain was coming down so hard and there were floods in the one town in ohio couldn't get thru. the town had to go around train crossing in town that was flooded like 3 or 4 feet.. made back on course and was on the eway with a few other's when a push rod broke as we were get off the exit. pulled over to see what had happen found a broken PR... with no spare's we were thinking how to make it summit or somewhere to get a new PR.. A few Dwer stop to see if they could help but no one had a spare PR.. then Todd Maschmeier pulled up and said need help I ask do you have a spare 8.750 PR he no I got 8.775 handed 2 out his window from his stash in the back seat.. we back on the road in few and I ran that PR the rest of the weekDrag week 2009 Quickest street rod

Ha ha. I remember that we were one of the cars that stopped to help. Its funny how you end up finding enough parts to make stuff work. In 2011 our Camaro lost a mechanical fuel pump and we couldn't find parts to adapt a stock pump to fit our fuel line. Between all the guys that stopped be built a new fuel system with a electric fuel pump. Its amazing what you can build on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere.Drag Week 2009 winner BB/NA

Day one of my first DW in 08, the Flings whom I had met the day before twisted off a drive shaft. We then pulled it back to the pitts with my mustang. Then a battle was on to find a new drive shaft, Sean got one made. We were almost the last out of the track so late we could not go to the party at Bubba's. The night ended at the host hotel at about the same time as Walt seing him sweating and tired I told him the late model stang got 25 mpg had ac but did not have a ipod jack so it was not as easy as it seemed. I got the most honest F you's of my life!Comment

Paris Texas in 12' was sketchy. Stopped at the wrong quickie mart to get fuel and got approached by several people asking for spare change/cash. Just had a bad vibe from some of these gentlemen that approached us...
The Memphis run with no sleep and tweaking/crashing on 5 hour energy drinks was memorable also. Almost getting close and personal with Bob Lashes rear bumper on his yellow Nova(twice), fighting off roadside rape at a rest area and settling for shityass Burger King for supper that night were all highlights of a wonderful day.
Tip to rookies on the 13' DragWeek...stay away from rest areas.http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...0101507a-1.jpgI'd rather attempt to do something great and fail than to attempt to do nothing and succeed.Comment

This is why I plan to watch the veterans every step on the drives! It's one thing to pull in with a normal car, but most all the cars on DW are attention getters and in sketchy areas those guys know when they can outnumber!Tip to rookies on the 13' DragWeek...stay away from rest areas.-Bobby-Comment

I think it was just outside of Paris where I met the guy on foot who had 50K into a thunderbird. This sweet ride ran 9s ON THE STREET! Because of this massive power he had to upgrade the transmission.......SUPERCHARGED transmission is what this ride had! I couldn't pump gas fast enough.
Mike Roy was filling up when i got there so this guy was all pumped up with the horsepower vibe when I rolled in.....thanks Mike!1968 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S 340 with a 360

That's funny. You know, I've been trying to figure out if I want to do any upgrades this year. Supercharging the transmission sounds like it might be just the ticket! And, it will match my supercharged motor. Think I'll call Art Whipple and see what he has for that. Can you supercharge a manual transmission, or only an automatic?Originally posted by BlueCuda340 View PostI think it was just outside of Paris where I met the guy on foot who had 50K into a thunderbird.
