The cruise control was a breeze to install. It took me a grand total of three hours to do the entire job plus maybe an hour before-hand to familiarize myself with the parts and instructions. I highly recommend this upgrade, and it works great! It should make the long drive home much less tiresome.

I did a little modification to the Vette and now I think I can handle everything that Power Tour throws at me. Since I bobbed it, she'll do 70mph on the highway ... just don't stop in front of me in a traffic jam, cause I'm a'rollin through !!!

can you post a picture of the throttle linkage? that was my biggest concern about the install. i wasnt sure how it worked because i dont have a cable linkage it is the stock metal rod linkage.

bobbing the old military trucks must be catching on. there was a really short one at the mudfest 2 weeks ago. it looked pretty cool and seemed unstopable in the mud.

I will be glad to take a couple pictures of my setup this evening. I am using a Lokar style throttle cable on my car, so the application will be a little different. I will say the kit came with a good variety of misc. hardware for different linkage setups. I don't think it would be difficult at all to adapt to the stock metal rod linkage.

We had Dakota Digital cruise installed too. Works very well. Also added Dynamat and upgraded radio to the truck.

Took the El Camino to the shop today to have the new headliner installed. I plan to spend the weekend getting the front clip reinstalled & everything associated with that hooked up. Including rewiring the new alternator for the new serpentine setup. And the A/C hooked up. And the cruise control hooked up. And the new carpet installed. Sounds simple enough.

                        What's new for 2013 HRPT

New Classic Instruments Tach in the dash, a gift from my nephew. It is good to know the product engineer. Master cylinder, calipers, pads, wheel seals, oil sending unit, oil & filter, N O S "Power Tour 2009" rear window sticker. All ready to go on test drive. Oh wait, insurance doesn't kick back in til May 5.
