You can.
You can.
Most people looking at it will probably assume it's a 460 anyway, until you tell them!!
Cool swap, I'd hit it.
cheers

Checked that one already. Deck height is different, they need to drop lower in order to go UNDER the floor, not INTO it. (this was with 460 VAN headers)
Fox 460 swap headers hang way too low with the 500, and the drivers side puts the engine WAY too forward. Passenger side seems good, but the driver side is a complete redo....
You got it right on Beagle!

I love the way your documenting the whole gig STINEY!
Tru Junkie style is by far the most fun.
The Fox/Cad is a proven performer....
Cadillac crest and all.
Hey Affordillac, glad to see you made it to the new junkie site!
Guys, if you don't recognize the black car in that picture, you need to check your old back issues of HotRod.
'04 or '05 Pump Gas Drags I believe, eventually got the car into the 9's with stock Cadillac bottom end and a carefully planned addition of Nitrous.
One of the greatest budget hot rods IMO, and could be driven anywhere too.

Alittle off topic here but is that a early bronco sitting there on the right covered in snow?

Nah, that's actually a '73 VW Thing from the rear (the taillights are missing, helps with the illusion I suppose) The folded convert top looks like the hood of a bronco and the windshield looks like the windshield, just from the wrong end.
Cool....
Even further off topic, see the 2 long ropes hanging from the tree to the left of the "bronco"? That's the kid's swing - ropes are about 25' long. You should hear the litter buggers scream when that hits full-tilt!

I bet that swing is awesome![]()

what are you planning for the step -van ?
my second favorite body style - the P VAN !!!
Right now, its a "storage-building" for the green sandrail.
It's fun in its own right. Retired WonderBread route truck, stripped the racks out, turned up the fuel on the Cummins 4BT and drove it for a couple summers. Moved lots of stuff, had lots of fun hearing that turbo work! Its a '79 E-350 chassis with a Grumman body on it. Needs different gearing though, the 5.14 leaves it somewhat "gear-bound" on the top end.
My 5 year-old loves it though. When he rides in it, I have to laugh out loud as he goes "teen-wolfin'" in the back. Quite a hoot....
