Pomona Swap Meet, January 2010 (Click a Thumbnail to Enlarge Photos)
-
This gallery is from the Pomona Swap Meet car corral in January 2010.
-
There were plenty of El Caminos and Rancheros on hand this month. This '71 El Camino was one of many we would gladly drive.
-
This Chevy van needs the A-Team's help to bring it back to life.
-
Muscle cars always make up the majority at Pomona, and this '70 GTX is a fine example for you Mopar freaks.
-
-
This little guy was representing hard! His Dad was proud. We vow to someday own a lowrider, and this wagon did it for us.
-
-
For $2800, this early Bronco was a good start for a fun dune runner. It has glass fenders, hood, and custom core support. With enough power, this could be fun.
-
For $6800 you can get this little Bronco all finished. It has a 6 cylinder, runs mint, and has a ton of new parts.
-
-
This V8 Valiant was one of several we saw this month at Pomona.
-
Suicide door Lincolns do it for us, and there were a bunch of them for sale. Some cheap.
-
The Seaver Motorcycle Ford truck was pretty cool
-
-
Cool stripe work.
-
We dig big Caddys, and there are always a bunch of cool ones to choose from at Pomona. This was one of our favorites.
-
-
We want an old motorhome. This one was cheap, but we are poor.
-
This '66 Nova features an Alston Chassisworks front subframe, bitchin stance, and clean interior.
-
The stroker small-block Chevy features plenty of look good, and go fast parts.
-
Freiburger tried to talk to himself into getting this Biscayne, but just couldn't do it. It's as clean as it looks, and we would love to put drop spindles, disc brakes, wheels and tires, and EFI on the 6 cylinder. A 2004r would make it the ultimate cruiser.
-
Dune buggies are cool. $19,500 would by this one. Or the next one.
-
Yep, $19,500 takes this one home.
-
We love the look of this '63 Impala Convertible.
-
First Gen Camaros on Air Ride are good.
-
-
-
Pomona always has killer VWs on hand. We love the slammed Cali look of this one, plus the roof rack is cool.
-
VW vans do it for us too.
-
-
There were several Cudas for sale this month, but the owners were very proud of them Thanks Barrett-Jackson.
-
-
-
Clean '62 Impala.
-
-
54" tall Super Swampers made this truck HUGE. We know it has little function, but we'd still drive it.
-
Pomona has everything from projects, to hot rods, and plenty of stock or restored vehicles. There is something for everyone.
-
We've seen this Nova around for a couple years, and now it's for sale. The color is a tad dated, but it's super clean.
-
Toyota HiLux trucks are fun. We know a guy with an 8 second example running an evil small-block Chevy.
-
Falcons were out in force this week as well. This Panel was cool.
-
-
In the mid-'90s, we passed up a mint Charger that looked like a gold version of this one. It had the 440/727/8.75 combo too. We hate ourselves for passing it up.
-
-
We aren't used to seeing '70 Mustang convertibles around much.
-
-
The wheels on this El Camino were a bit "big" for our taste, but we still liked it.
-
-
If we saw one GTX, we saw 10. They were everywhere this month.
-
This is one of two Superbirds we saw on site.
-
-
'65 Chevelles are cool, but we could do without the hood pins.
-
-
-
Now that is an antenna. "Breaker, breaker..."
-
Freiburger was checking out this '70 Super Bee because it "matches" his. Well, sort of.
-
This was the good side. The other side, while fixable, wasn't as pretty.
-
This has to be one of the best stances ever on a Skylark. We see this car a lot, and still love it.
-
HOT!
-
This '68 Chevelle was sporting 502 cubic inches of big block power.
-
We like the Resto Rod look of this '56 Nomad.
-
-
This Canopy Express Chevrolet truck was one of our cooler finds. The door art on it was great, and after playing with it a bit we figured out where it was from.
-
The door says Geo. Francis Hy-Klas Foodstore Good things to eat. Some research tells us that this store was in St. Joseph Missouri.
-
-
-
-
Early Novas are always cool, but we've seen an enormous number of wagons running around lately. We love wagons, and early Novas, so now we want one.
-
-
-
This Ford Woodie was in need of a serious build, but it was all there.
-
A new E-Rod engine would be perfect in this truck. It already has the stance and good looks, now all it needs is the power.
-
This Catalina excited us for $1200. Unfortunately the drivers side quarter panel was so bad we couldn't even bring ourselves to take a picture.
-
'58 Chevys are just plain cool, and we dig the lowrider vibe on this one.
-
-
-
There were too many people around this Pantera to get a shot of the car, but here is the engine.
-
Another V8 Valiant, but this one's a convertible.
-
That's a big Hummer.
-
We love the old Volvos. This one has a blown 2.8 liter Ford in it.
-
-
Randal, TheSilverBuick on our Forums, has one like this. There are more cool "comforts" in these old T-Birds than you can imagine.
-
-
We found a couple cool Pintos on site. This one was WAY HIGH DOLLAR.
