CLICK IMAGE TO ENLARGEThe interior is all 70/71 with only subtle modifications. Legendary Interiors created a 2008 interior from original ’70 and ’71 pieces. The seats are ’70 covers with custom SRT-71 logos done in ’70 charcoal on factory black. Both the upper and lower frames are supported with steel struts, welded around the perimeter frame to the outer spring rod and padded. The inner sections were left alone. This gives a racing seat feel without having to compromise the look of a vintage car. Added to the seat backs are a Viper lumbar air bladder making them feel like you just slipped into a modern sports car. Door panels are 71 Charger SE pieces without the wood grain and chrome strips. Lower panels were ordered without window crank/switch holes for a clean look. George Polillio of ‘Bumper to Bumper’ supplied and installed the “One touch” window switches and electric door locks which are now located on the console top, also created for this project. Note all that was previously wood grain is now factory ’71 dark argent.
