Aaron Kaufman and KC Mathieu Of KC’s Paint Shop Team Up For YouTube Show (Roadkill-esque?)

Aaron Kaufman and KC Mathieu Of KC’s Paint Shop Team Up For YouTube Show (Roadkill-esque?)

Well that didn’t take long. We got a tip this morning to check out KC Mathieu’s Instagram page and we’d get a glimpse into what Aaron Kaufman’s next move was going to be after leaving Gas Monkey Garage. Well, it looks like he and longtime friend Mathieu are going to be starring in their own challenge-based style YouTube show. The whole thing feels kind of Roadkill-esque, especially with the photo showing the two guys in tired looking Mustangs fueling up at the pump.

These guys have known each other forever and KC has been making some hints (that we completely missed) on his massive Instagram page with hashtags like #wereputtingthebandbacktogether and others. We think that these guys will make a fun pair to watch make mischief and mayhem in whatever they plan on doing.

Mathieu was the first high profile guy to leave the show a couple of seasons ago, returning to and ultimately expanding his own body shop operation. It does not take much of a stretch to understand how Mathieu’s success away from the shop could have influenced Kaufman’s decision. Also, there has to be some relief to be out of the spotlight of Richard Rawlings and into one of his own for Kaufman.

We’re interest to see how this plays out. Automotive “buddy” shows are very popular across the internet right now and none of them seems to be stealing audience from each other. We’ll keep you posted when we learn more about this!

Actually Scot McMillan was the first high profile guy to leave the show. He has had Scot Rods Garage before he ever went on TV, and continued to focus on that instead of TV drama.

Actually, Scot McMillan is hardly high profile. He has a horrible temper and obviously cannot work with anyone. The guy irritated me with the few moments he actually made it on TV. I am quite glad that he is on camera no more.

I hope their evil alter egos from the Army of The Chevrolet Lovers don’t infect their minds and make them play bad brass band arrangements of backwards Carpenters songs……

Good , now we may be able to see car built, instead of a raving douchbag crying about how much it cost . BTW, you can’t build a car in a week .

So how do we see their video? Would love to check it out. I do not partake in social media like Instagram or Facebook…

Hope there wont be any more of the scripted drama & fake deadlines if theres a new show. Its what ruins these shows in my opinion.

Really it was Aaron Kaufman show Richard Rawlings was a jerk.He just flashed money around.Good for Aaron Kaufman now lets see how long Gas Monkey last.

Love roadkill, I used to watch gas monkey until a couple of years ago just to see the builds. I was turned off when the monkey raced roadkill. Roadkill couldn’t do their show due to the other production and they actually drove their car to the race. Tired of the world and tv drama revolving around rawlings.

I wish you the best aaron, only watched the show because of you.it’s good to see someone that knows what they’re talking about, not releying on a script.I’ll look for your show
