ADRL Announces 2010 Schedule, We Vow To Make At Least One Race

The American Drag Racing League has announced their 2010 schedule and we here at BangShift.com are vowing to get to at least one of the races to bring you coverage of the craziest doorslammer series on planet Earth. The series will be packing strips from Kansas to Georgia, with several stops in between.

With possibly the thinnest rule book in drag racing, the ADRL has fostered an explosive amount of performance and fan growth over the last few seasons. It seems that every season, some performance barrier that was once thought to be impossible to achieve, falls. We’re talking cars with doors running well into the three second zone in the 1/8 mile.

The last ADRL race we attended was back in the formative years of the series, before it exploded to become the global phenemenon it is now. We need to get ourselves re-educated first had and plan on doing so this season. We’ve not settled on an exact race yet, but we’re going to bring you killer coverage from at least one stop on the tour.

We’ve got the full schedule and release below:

ADRL Confirms Georgia Drags VI Date

O’FALLON, MO (Jan. 19, 2010) — The American Drag Racing League (ADRL) is pleased to confirm its ADRL Hardee’s Georgia Drags VI will be held Apr. 23-24, at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Cecil, Georgia. The two-week move from the original date creates an ideal balance in the schedule for the 2010 ADRL tour.

“With this date change we now have only one race per month this year and at least three weeks between events, with only one exception in September when Dragstock VII at Rockingham (NC) Dragway is followed two weeks later by our return to Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio,” ADRL Executive Vice President Jeff Fortune said. “We greatly appreciate all of our track partners working with us to create the best possible scheduling for ADRL race teams and fans.”

As the ADRL enters its sixth season, its 2010 schedule is comprised of nine national events in eight states.
