There are few vehicles that scream late ’50s and early ’60s more than the Jeep Surrey. These little buggers were created first by a California resort as fun vehicles for their guests to use. Kaiser, who owned Willys at the time, was pitched the idea to build 50 of them for the Hawaii Village resort (which was owned by Henry Kaiser). That run of 50 was built and in 1960 the Jeep Surrey, a tarted up, 2WD DJ-3 Jeep was officially born.

Not shockingly, few of these things exist today. When styles and times changed, most of the Jeeps met their end in the hands of private owners. The example we found is listed for the big bucks sum of $42,500. If you’re a serious Jeep collector it could be a cornerstone piece of a collection, and if you are an Americana collector who loves the Eisenhower era, this may be your dream car.

We dig the fact that the dash is packing a speedo, key slot, and that’s about it. The color ain’t exactly us, but it beats the hell out of the available factory pink.
