You may have seen photos of an awesome project that centers around mating an old aircraft radial engine to a Toyota MR2 floating around the internet recently. Well it was no hoax, and we have the video proof of the thing actually running to prove it! The car is going to compete in a 24 Hours of Lemons race and it will absolutely be the loudest machine there…by a lot!

The engine comes from 1940s era military training planes and makes a reported 160hp or so. We have no idea what the rest of the driveline is, but to see the engine mounted in the car and running (pig rich, too!) is jaw dropping. Oh, we should have mentioned that the builder equipped the engine with MegaSquirt EFI! Like we said, 100% BangShift approved!
