That’s right folks, BangShift.com will be bringing you exclusive FREE LIVE STREAMING VIDEO from The Shakedown at the Summit October 4-6, 2013 as the event formerly known as The Skakedown at E-Town moves to its new home. For years the Shakedown at Englishtown was THE premier “outlaw” drag race on the East Coast. Following some hassle filled years at Englishtown, where the track is constantly facing local harassment over noise and traffic, the event was moved to Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk Ohio for 2013 and beyond. This is one of the top tracks in the country and is going to be an insanely fast surface for everyone to race on, which means we’ll see more great bumper dragging drag racing action than ever. But what kind of racing can you expect when you attend the Shakedown in person, or watch it here on BangShift.com?
There are 8 classes of competition at the Shakedown, ranging from big tired Pro Mods to 8.50 Street Index class, but the ones we are most excited to see are Outlaw Pro Mod, Outlaw 10.5, Limited Street and X275. The Pro Mods of course will put on a crazy show and are running the full 1/4 mile here at Norwalk. Outlaw 10.5 will have you scratching your head wondering why the Pro Mods run a big tire, and then there is Limited Street and X275. This is where are small tire and Drag Radial guys will get it on running the 1/8 mile on the bumper in many cases. If you like wheels up action, these are the classes that can get stupid crazy in a hurry, and we mean that in a good way.
Make sure you get your tickets now, or sign up to race. Either way, we want to see you there with us at Norwalk. But if you can’t be there in person, tune in with us here at BangShift.com LIVE.
