In checking out Jeremy’s project Mustang earlier today, we got to thinking about our favorite race machines. While there are lots of memorable hot rods, muscle cars, and kustoms we’ve run into, nothing turns our crank like a cool race car. Whether it is a streamliner, a fuel altered, or a bent up amateur stock car, we dig it. Maybe we’re a mental 10-year olds (ok, we KNOW we’re mental 10-year olds), but who doesn’t love a race car?

Today’s question of the day is an easy one. What’s your favorite racer? Nothing is off limits from soap box derby and slot cars to racing airplanes like the stuff they run in Reno.

(Editor’s note: Here’s my pick. I have no data on the car, only that if I ever have enough scratch to replicate a vehicle from a photo it’ll be this death trap. Look at this thing! It rules beyond words and doesn’t look safe enough to drive more than 10mph!)
