I..uh..what? Calling All BangShifters: What Is This Thing?

I..uh..what? Calling All BangShifters: What Is This Thing?

Tom Klockau, a member of The Brougham Society on Facebook, posted this picture on the wall with a question: “What in the world is going on here?” For the sake of keeping BangShift a family-friendly scene, we will stick with his question instead of my first sentence…just trust me that it incorporated a lot of “WTF?!” in the wording. This mid-1990’s Cadillac Fleetwood was spotted in Rock Island, Illinois and is beyond identification. I can’t tell if it has bed, but it’s not set up like a flower car if it does. It appears to be a standard length car with no roofline hacking, so I’m not sold that it’s a Jacuzzi-equipped car. It’s got six wheels, for what reason I may never know. And why anyone would paint the ass end of this poor Caddy purple/red/orange/yellow, as if it was a 1980’s sports-themed car, is beyond me. So take a shot: What the hell was this Cadillac’s reason for existence? I’d love to think that there’s a fifth wheel in the bed and that the LT-1 was swapped out for a Duramax. Wouldn’t that be a sight, this Caddy rolling coal towing a fifth-wheel RV trailer behind it. Just someone…anyone…please paint the car all-black.

Can’t comment on the why and it looks like they cut the back end off of just behind the wheels and just welded another back end from just in front of the rear wheels on the back.

The paint job makes it look like a mullet. Black and business like in the nose and 80’s Pro-Street party in the back…

Not sure of the why, but thank goodness for that spoiler, I’d hate for it to loose stability at speed due to lack of down force…
