Which Of These $10,500 Vehicles Would You Rather Show Up In For A Holiday Gala At Trump Tower?

Which Of These $10,500 Vehicles Would You Rather Show Up In For A Holiday Gala At Trump Tower?

Weird question? We don’t think so, and here is why. Showing up at the Academy Awards wouldn’t garner as much attention as showing up to a Trump function will until his prospective presidency starts on January 20th. So if all the eyes of the world were upon you, as you pulled up and got out of a vehicle for said gala, which one of these vehicles would you want to be in? All three can be had right now on eBay for $10,500, all three are still owned by the original owner, and all three are low mileage with the Ford and Chevy below 30,000 miles each and the Mercedes just under 65,000.

mercedes

I have to say, I’d own any one of the three, although the Mercedes is the one that speaks to me for some reason. I can imagine cruising to dinner wearing my finest Dickies shorts and best Reef flip flops. Of course I can also imagine yanking the original engine, trans, and rear end out of it and going LS, 4L80, 9 inch for some fun on the street with some cleverly disguised drag radials with wide whites. Daphne would look hot as hell riding shotgun in this thing with a little black dress on. Just sayin’.

ford-pickup

The Ford pickup is rad. Great patina, amazingly low miles, and the 360 FE gives me lumber. It’s an automatic, which sucks a little, but at least it will be easier for the valet to park after you get out of it at Trumps party. If it was ours, we’d lay it on it’s balls with air ride (surprise, surprise) and probably do something stupid like EFI and a turbo. Tee hee hee.

The Vette is totally wrong year. But it’s yellow. And it’s so gold chain perfect that we’d be wearing our Member’s Only jacket, with chest hair proudly on display, along with our Corvette emblem on the gold chain. If that isn’t what you would wear while driving it then you have not one hair on your sack. Just saying.

So…now that we’ve established that not one of these is the car anyone would expect to pull up in front of Trump Tower for a Holiday Gala, which one would you choose? Why?

Or would you take Option #4? A Mexico built Volkswagen Beetle? LOL

Come on, the ‘Vette needs a polyester leisure suit or a Hawaiian shirt… with chest hair on display and gold chains, of course. It looks a little too early for a Members Only jacket.

This is a tough call between the disco-tastic Corvette, the pickup that is both a great hauler and seems to embody the spirit of Trump’s small town, working class core supporters, and the Mercedes that seems to be dripping with plutocracy – but I’m with you on the Mercedes. Reminds me of what the Flying Fathers drove in Cannonball Run (the real one – in the movie, they inspired the Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. pairing in the Ferrari, but they were inspired by a similar crew of fake priests in a Mercedes). It’s perfect for either cruising or questionable triple digit speed shenanigans. I hope Daphne is getting better to enjoy cruising in it, or whatever BangShift picks up as their next project.

Yanking out the Mercedes motor for an LS – well I know one thing your’e yanking on every night!

A Fintail Mercedes is in my opinion the best ever sedan they made and a hot AMG motor and transmission would not only blow any LS into the weeds but would improve it no end. But my money would be on buying a drone-operated vehicle packed with enough C5 to level Trump Tower with the $10,500….

For the Merc – 70’s 6.9 litre M100 Merc Limo motor and trans .

For the appearance at a Trump function -100% the Mexican VW
w/ La Cucaracha BLARING on air horns upon arrival….
    I’m just sayin’……..

I was at Trump Tower on Sunday (seriously, not kidding). I took the metro north, much cheaper.
By the way, all the mobs of protesters they are telling us about on the news is bullshit. There were 5 cowards covering their faces with poorly made and grammatically incorrect signs.

Nothing I can think of would take me to Trump Tower. The Mercedes is a great road car. I had a silver 190 S. Corvettes of that era had drive trains that made good boat anchors and road like log wagons.

    I’d take the Vette.

Find a built 406 or a 383. 3 inch pipes with glass packs.
Then I’d find the best Hawaiian shirt to wear. Trim my bread down to stubble, let my Stash do the talkin.
I’d Also add a 70’s CB Antenna so I could talk to every truck in a 20 mile reach.
