“Jerry Was A Racecar Driver” is probably one of my favorite Primus songs because it has just enough goofy fun to it that you won’t turn it off. The single was released in 1991 on the Sailing The Seas Of Cheese album. And while it wasn’t technically their first single, but rather their second, it was the first popular one and so most people think it was their first. In the song Les Claypool, who plays bass guitar and sings, finger taps his crazy bass medley and then sings with a wacky story teller’s voice. It’s a must listen.
