In the next day or two, we’re going to tell you the story of an odd and cool Canadian monster truck junkyard. Before we get to that, we wanted to share a photo from the man who went to the spot, BangShifter Glen Robins. We cracked up when we saw it because he looks like a lollipop kid walking toward the massive Suburban.

The truck he is walking toward is the final iteration of Canada’s first monster truck Superfoot. The truck was a sensation in the 1980s when it first started running around Canada doing small arana shows and car crushed wherever was available. We think the name was an attempt to piggyback on the Bigfoot popularity train that was making big steam in the 1980s when this truck came along. Nothing wrong with that, especially when you are the only truck in the whole country.

Interestingly, the way that truck currently sits makes it the largest monster truck in the world, even though it cannot operate. The tires are 12.5-feet tall, 2.5-feet taller than the 10-footers that Bigfoot five wore back in the day.

Enough history…caption this photo!

    Hi
What kind of tires? off of a Caterpillar 657 scraper or are they off of a larger Caterpillar Minning Rock truck, What size are they? Some body put some searous money into this truck, how tall was the ladder to get into the truck?

That’s actually my buddy Daniel Gauthier in the pic, who is incredibly knowledgeable about these early Canadian monster trucks.

The truck is incredibly huge and cartoonish looking!
