So-called “stacker” trailers are a staple at races of all shapes and sizes these days. From Top Fuel dragsters to Indy Cars, they are a tool that teams use to maximize space and equipment. The trailers themselves are marvels of engineering and under normal circumstances function as advertised. Obviously, there are not normal circumstances.
We’ve seen cars fall off stacker platforms. We’ve seen platforms lose hydraulic pressure and drop quickly to the ground, but we have never seen what this photo below depicts. In this photo, the entire structure that holds the door/platform has been torn away, depositing some kind of stock car onto the ground, and hard!
See the dudes at the left side of the frame in the photo? We want to know what they are saying!
Thanks to Jim Snerd for the photo!
Caption this photo!
