This G-body Monte Carlo Is A Nitrous-Fed Monster That ls Barely Controlled!

It’s a nice problem to have when you spend the night at the track trying to tune down the combination you’re running to make the most out of what you’ve got, isn’t it? That’s the case for this wicked 1980s Chevy Monte Carlo that was running a no-prep event at I-29 Dragway in Iowa. The G-body might look cobbled-together and rough as all hell, but the nitrous-infused 632ci monster under all of that fiberglass up front isn’t something to take lightly. On it’s first hit the Monte goes wheels-up all the way to the bumper, and that was just the beginning of the wild night that the driver got to enjoy. Whether it was the front end trying to go vertical or the back end trying to come around to see the action for itself, the name of this Monte Carlo’s game was “balance”…finding the right combination between controlled runs on that 10.5” tire with all of that motor and nitrous and the sickening sound of Armco barrier against sheet metal. If you’re going to play in the no-prep game, at least run the car like your paycheck is on the line!

Actually it looks like he knows precisely when to lift, which is why the car still isn’t bent…
