It’s Daily Driven, It’s A Six Cylinder, And It’s In The Nines: This Falcon G6E Is A Winner

It’s Daily Driven, It’s A Six Cylinder, And It’s In The Nines: This Falcon G6E Is A Winner

Other than the green paint, you’d lose this thing in a huge parking lot. The body doesn’t have any radical mods. And unless you know what to listen for, all you hear is a six cylinder Ford driving along, making this Falcon G6E a very effective sleeper. Packing an absolutely ballistic 4.0L inline six with a custom Garrett turbo and running through a built six speed, this 738hp daily driver makes running nines look too easy for words. It’s awesome to see a six-cylinder sedan able to go play with the big dogs at the track, and it’s another reason that we’re sad to know that the Falcon lineup is being killed off. Maybe in 25 years, when they are legal to bring to the U.S., will we get a chance to get our hands on one of these badass four-doors.

funny thing is, these are not uncommon by any stretch. There’s been a turbo version of the 6 for ages now and they are cheap and plentiful. Even the non turbo XR-6’s are a quick vehicle, and then of course there are the V8 ones too….I recently bought a 1998 ex cop car for a family hack, 5 litre that gets hotted up at the factory for police pursuit duties, and was then hotted up further by the next owner before I got it. Combined with Tickford suspension and brakes as part of the cop package it is an awesome drive. The price? $1,400 ….there are lots of cheap late model performance Fords available….only thing is, particularly with the later ones as shown here, they are boring and bland to look at….depends if you want a show pony or a car that goes hard, I suppose but for that kind of price who cares? Perfect family hack!
