No, It’s Not A Flashback – Another Dodge Disco Van Has Hit The Auction Block!

No, It’s Not A Flashback – Another Dodge Disco Van Has Hit The Auction Block!

You know that saying, “What’s old is new again”? I’m afraid to admit it, but I believe that the era of the custom van is upon us once again. Yes…vans, complete with pimped out interiors, graphics that could make a blind man cringe, mag wheels and so on are making a comeback. How else could you explain what you are seeing here? This 1977 Dodge B200 looks like it has never seen the sun, right? Whether you thought the visuals of the van era were cool or not, you had to hand it to the artists that painted these creations for their work…shame that forty years later, the lacquer is cracked and faded out. But this Dodge looks minty fresh…why is that?

Easy…it isn’t paint. This Tradesman has been vinyl-wrapped to bring back the memories of listening to Boston as you cruised around town with your long hair and mustache. The tube grille and Keystones add to the theme on what the seller notes was already a pretty decent Dodge. At least the cargo area doesn’t look to be as STD-riffic as some of the survivors we’ve seen cross eBay before. An L-shaped couch, complete with seat belts, leaves a lot of room but adds to the whole custom theme. Make your call: viable alternative or is this going a bit too far?

I like it. I’m more early 70’s than disco but it does take a pretty ho hum vehicle into something fun
