Ebay Find Greatness: A Real Deal Jungle Jim Monza Funny Car! Burnouts Await!

Ebay Find Greatness: A Real Deal Jungle Jim Monza Funny Car! Burnouts Await!

My dad was friends with Jungle Jim back in the day. He and all his buddies worked on Jim’s cars, helped build the Nova and raised hell in their spare time. Heck, my first car trailer was Jungle Jim’s original open funny car trailer! So when we found this super bitchin’ real deal Monza bodied Funny Car that Jungle drove back in the day, we were excited. And it can be yours. Almost ready to do burnouts. Except for the mockup show engine that is. But I know guys who can fix that for me.

Its got just over 2 days left on the auction, so that means 48 hours to come up with some cash, convince the wife, and start clicking that bid button!

According to the listing, this car was built in 1974 at Lindblad Chassis in Massachusetts with a Vega body on it. Late in ’74 or early ’75 Jungle Jim swapped it over to the Monza body and then raced it in Miami. It was sold to Bruce Larson very soon after and raced all the way through 1979 before it was then sold to Chuck Etchells. It had several other bodies, including a Datsun and a Ford. It has since been completely restored, with the original Monza body, and is fully 1975 correct. That means you can’t go race it in the NHRA Heritage Series, but that doesn’t mean we can’t do burnouts on your street with it.

I’m not kidding, I’ll drive.

If you always wanted a Funny Car, this is a pretty good one to own. The history is pretty bad ass, and the car looks spectacular. Plus, the neighbors totally want you to cackle this thing on Saturday nights.
