(Words: Mike Brooks – Photos: Brooks, Jose Ferrer) – 2014 was a huge year for Jose and I here at Bangshift! We tried to fit as many car gatherings as we could into our crazy work schedules and lucked out big time. We were able to hit well over a dozen local and national events between the two of us. From small cruises, to big shows like The Detroit Autorama and The Hot Rod Power Tour, one or both of us were able to bring the action to Bangshift. Combined, we were fortunate enough to have 26 feature galleries and articles here in 2014. 26! Yeesh!
However, we do have a confession to make. We are not photographers. Neither one of us has a vast knowledge of a true pro photog. Photographers make art, we merely take pictures. We don’t have all kinds of fancy-pants gear, we both have basic DSLR cameras (Canon 1100d’s) that are far more capable than us. However, that is slowly changing. I, for one try to learn something new every time I shoot an event. (Like remembering to charge the damn battery) Someday I hope to gain the knowledge and talent that many Bangshift contributors already possess.

I’ve just messed my pants looking at that bitchin’ Caddy!
I was watching a programme on the original Rolls Royce Silver Shadow and how much would I like to see one given a similar look!. Especially as they are now quite cheap to buy – in the UK anyway. They already have hydraulically assisted suspension, which could be adapted for that lowrider stance and with a Bentley Turbo drivetrain installed would have the performance to match the looks.
So come on my American bros – make my wish come true and show us the finished article!
