2015 Street Machine and Muscle Car Nationals Coverage: More Cool Cars Under The California Sun

2015 Street Machine and Muscle Car Nationals Coverage: More Cool Cars Under The California Sun

If you had a cool car and lived in proximity to the Pomona Fairplex you’d really have it made. You could cruise to the Winternationals, the Grand National Roadster Show, the Prolong twilight cruises at the NHRA motorsports museum, the Street Machine and Muscle Car Nationals, the NHRA World Finals, and whatever other cool events they have on the grounds over the year. We’re not sure that there is another specific spot in the country that has as many big league shows and races on it each year. Pretty wild stuff!

Of all the events, the Street Machine and Muscle Car Nationals are the most junior with this being its second iteration at the sprawling facility outside of Los Angeles. Despite its relative newness, the show has already built a strong audience and like most of the other modern events that have been created across the country, it has all kinds of stuff to watch, do, and participate in. From the Hotchkis autocross to the judged portions of the car show, it was a great weekend that drew a monster load of participants out. Here’s our second blast of photos from the event. Oh…and can you ID this thing below? We can’t!

That’s an early 70’s T-bird. My grandfather had one. Came stock with a 429! Got about 10 mpg, no matter how fast or slow you were going. Had a cool wraparound back seat like a couch!
