(Photos by Johnny Gaudette) – Our high school attending contributor Johnny Gaudette spent last weekend at the Early Ford V8 Club Of New England’s 45th annual Spring Tune Up Car Show. The club has been around for many years and this show is their signature event. Held at Fitchburg Airport, the event really has the feel of an old school drag race as hot rods and muscle cars take up the space that had previously been used by planes. The turnout was great and it ranged from the classic muscle you see above and below to some period correct hot rods, land speed race cars, and more. All were welcome and lots came.

Johnny is still finishing up school for the year so it is always great to get images submitted from him. We THINK he is a senior this year (we’re sure he’ll correct us) so he is likely closing in on his last month of high school and he’s got to tell us what his next step will be. We know he is a good kid who is surely handy with a wrench because he’s got a cool old cruiser of his own. For now he’ll stare at the walls in study hall and stew over all the cool iron he saw that this event last weekend!
