Last weekend’s Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational pitted the world’s best Pro Touring cars against one another in a variety of competitions. From the road rally through the streets of Las Vegas to the autocross, brake stop, hot lap, and style/engineering judging, the cars were worked over harder in a two day span than most cars get in a lifetime. 

Danny Popp won the whole shebang in a tight battle  in his Corvette, tailed hotly by Mark Stielow in his Red Devil Camaro. BangShift sponsors Optima Batteris, Detroit Speed and Engineering, RideTech, and Spectre Performance were all in the fray out in the desert of Pahrump, Nevada.

To cover the event, Optima retained the services of a magazine photographer and Optima was generous enough to share some of the best photos of the cars getting their freak on both at the race track and on the streets of Las Vegas. Chad was busy announcing the autocross, so his photographic abilities (which, let’s be honest here, are limited) were not put to use.
