Car Show Gallery: The 2011 Geneva Concours d’Elegance – Geneva, Illinois

Normally with the words Concours d’Eelgance are thrown around, visions of important people dressed in dumb clothing gawking at old foreign cars come to mind. In the case of the free-to-the-public Geneva Concours d’Elegance, we couldn’t be more wrong. There are few places where you’ll be able to see a gaggle of cool Porsche’s, Pontiac Can Ams, vintage drag cars, Lamborghinis, and on and on, like you can at Geneva.

Luckily for us, this event is held right in the area of BangShift contributing photographers Bob Chiluk and Greg Rourke. Both guys jumped on this show like a pair of Spider Monkeys and we’ve got an awesome gallery to prove it. We have lots of secret love for the Porsche 356. Years ago, we were actually prepping one with a friend to run the One Lap of America, but never got done. In this gallery, you’ll see several wonderful examples of that car. You’ll also see plenty of vintage muscle, 1950s coolness, and even some old drag strip warriors!

Thanks to Greg and Bob for the photos!

Our shady, tree lined streets don’t lend themselves to good photography. This event got lots of folks who had never been to a car show to see their first one, as this part of town is very touristy.
