The Last Of Our Mooneyes XMas Party And Drags Photos From California

The Last Of Our Mooneyes XMas Party And Drags Photos From California

Every year we tell you guys out where it’s cold that this is one of the most bitchin events we attend all year. And this year was no different, except for the fact that I was in Indy for PRI this year since they somehow found themselves being held on the same weekend. Thankfully for you, Darr Hawthorne was out clicking his butt off to make sure he got the photos of the cars you want to see, and there was PLENTY to see. This first gallery is a mix of stuff so you can get a feel for what was on site. This show is always great because it mixes several styles of cars and clubs that you wouldn’t normally think about fitting together, but somehow it works here at Mooneyes.

We’ll have more photos coming throughout the week, so check out this gallery at the link below and then come back tomorrow to see even more.

One of my favorite shows to attend each year. Not just the cars, the drag racing, but also the cast of characters and culture that make this show so diverse. I was usually the most milque toast dude there.

Using “X” to represent Christ is as old as Christianity itself. The Greek letter X – “chi” – is the first letter of “Christ” and was often used to represent Christ, especially during the times when Christianity was outlawed.

There is absolutely nothing offensive about Xmas, and it is in no way meant to belittle Christ or Christians.

That ‘little watermark’ is put there by most contributors to protect their right to sell the photo as their property. Different folks put it on in different ways….some even put a transparency across the whole center of the image (I don’t approve). I think its safe for me to put the bangshift.com/my name in the lower right corner as a transparency so that if the picture is saved and re-shared Bangshift gets the reference and I get credit. Most of our images here are a less than 25% resolution of the ON (original negative – I come from a silver image background) so I do not fear someone taking my photos off Bangshift and reusing them for profit. Besides…its not like I’m Steve Reyes or Tommy Lee Byrd or something like that. I freely give folks that ask my photos because I’ve not yet decided on how or if I can make some more mod money from them. Anyway, that’s the ‘watermark’ thing in a nutshell. Some of the contributors make a living or use the photo gig as a side job to augment their income. I support their right to protect their ‘work’. Besides…..anyone worth their salt with photoshop or GIMP can remove the watermarks. Most of mine are easily cropped away.
