While we’re normally bludgeoning you over the head with big blocks, nitro, drag strip antics, and assorted mechanical mayhem, we have a slightly more tasteful side. That’s the side that can appreciate a blower Bentley, an old AC Bristol race car, and the pure bliss that is a gull-wing Mercedes. Recently, Joe Grippo toured the Simeone Foundation Museum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

This is an amazing collection amassed by one guy who was a noted neurosurgeon with a fascination with racing sports cars. There’s some good ol’ fashioned American iron in the collection, but the majority of it is neat foreign stuff.

Sure, old British and European sports cars may not be your main automotive love, but you really have to appreciate this stuff for what they were during the era that they were constructed. These cars all were at the top of their respective heap when built.

Thanks for the great gallery Joe!
