For 40 years, NHRA Division One sportsman racers have descended on Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, Pennsylvania to close out the season at the Pennsylvania Dutch Classic. This year was no exception. Hundreds of racers braved a couple days of rain before letting loose on one of the quickest drag strips in the world. From Q/SA barges (we use barge lovingly) to Mopar Hemi Challenge hitters to Top Sportsman and Top Dragster brawlers, this event has it all for the sportsman drag racing lover. 

Joe Grippo who spends more time at Maple Grove than he does at his own home was on the scene to blast more than 200 great photos from the race. Despite his affinity for Fords, he delivered even handed coverage of all makes in this big gallery and it looks like he got at least one shot of each SS/AHemi competitor on the grounds. The Earthquake Dart of Gary Wolkwitz won the Hemi Challenge in fine fashion, besting Jeffrey Kobylski for the cash and the title.
