We missed a truly kick-ass event last weekend at Eagle Field in Firebaugh, California. Luckily, BangShift.com reader Jim Becker was on hand and brought his camera. He took some great shots of the vintage drag iron in the pits and duking it out flag-start style on a makeshift drag strip. Talk about retro-cool!

Eagle Field is a military museum so the grounds have all sorts of old military equipment to check out. Combine that with all the pre-1973 hot rods, race cars, and kustoms, and you have a recipe for awesome. 

As the first of these events was held back in October of last year and it seems to be exploding in popularity. We think that there will be another one this fall. Hit the gallery link below and check out all the great machinery.
