Well I have finally worked my way to the end of my copious load of photos from the 2014 Goodguys Autumn Get Together in Pleasanton, California. Ironically in just a day or two, Chad will be traveling to the season ending autocross spectacular at the Goodguys Scottsdale show. That event will pit winners from Goodguys Autocross events that spanned from coast to coast against each other in a battle for the title of Goodguys Autocrosser of the Year. Some of the biggest names in the game will be there and we’ll bring you all the news and information that breaks from that situation when it goes down this coming weekend. Dialing the clock back a few days, we’re in California for the Goodguys Rod and Custom Association’s “home field” in Pleasanton. As best we know, this is where Goodguys got started and the whole thing happily spiraled out of control from there. Now there are dozens of massive events across the USA and the Goodguys is a huge outfit.

Like the other collections of photos I have stuck up from this event, there is no theme among them just whatever I thought was neat, I shot. The Mustang below was one of my absolute favorites because it was so clean and nicely restored. With its plain white wrapper, hubcaps, and dearth of options, this thing was optioned to be a strip or stoplight killer or both, depending on the situation. The ramp truck you’ll see in here is spectacular along with some of the more original stuff like the Jimmy in the lead photo and a few other cars you will see.

I have one drag race left in 2014 but no more car shows. This was definitely the right note to end the show year on. GREAT location, GREAT cars, GREAT people. If you are in the Pleasanton area you owe it to yourself to check this one out next year. It is a full day of fun.
