Killer Race Cars From All Years and Genres At The 2015 Motorsports and Race Car Trade Show

Killer Race Cars From All Years and Genres At The 2015 Motorsports and Race Car Trade Show

(Photos by Joe Grippo) – For 30 years, hundreds of racers have displayed their cars and drawn huge crowds in the greater Philadelphia area to the Motorsports Race Car and Trade Show. The perfect combo of an expo type deal, a car show, and the biggest collection of race iron you have ever seen, it is a great way for gearheads of all stripes to knock the edge off the winter blues which have hit harder than anyone can remember this year. Grippo camped out on the sidewalk for three days before the show opened and then barreled through the front doors like the Kool-Aid man when the show opened. That’s the only way we can explain the great photos he got before the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center packed up with people.

As we have often said, racers are racers no matter what type of wheel they are holding onto. This show is proof of that. You will see vintage circle track cars, modern drag racing machines, dirt cars, karts, and everything in the middle. Often times this will be the only opportunity for guys of different racing genres to walk around and inspect each other’s stuff which is kind of neat. We dig this show because it is ALL racing stuff. It is one thing to go to a car show where you see something interesting and the a ton of stuff you don’t care about but since this is 100% pure racer, there’s something to see in each of the machines in display.

This is a great collection of photos and there are more coming!

Great shots Joe. I really dig the vintage roundy-round cars. Early sprints and modifieds are some of the coolest stuff to gawk at.
