Rodders Journal Revival 2014: 1932, 1933, and 1934 Fords On The Grounds At Pimlico – Part One

Rodders Journal Revival 2014: 1932, 1933, and 1934 Fords On The Grounds At Pimlico – Part One

(Photos by Joe Grippo) – If there’s one show I am gnashing my teeth about having not attended yet, it is the Rodder’s Journal Revival which has become one of the premier gathering of awesome hot rods in the known universe over the course of just a few short years. Held at the famed Pimlico horse racing track, cars come from all over North America to display there and our man Joe Grippo hasn’t missed a-one of ’em! He shot tons and tons of photos and was nice enough to bust them into chunks for us to share. This is part one of two that will focus on 1932/1933/1934 Fords that caught Joe’s eye.

The 32/33/34 Ford is one of hot rodding’s most enduring shapes and while a seemingly infinite number of them have been built by guys over the years, they’re like thumbprints. Generally the same form but the details are always different. In many ways, these cars are really thinking man’s hot rods because if you want one to stand out in a crowd, especially the crowd at the Rodders Journal Revival, you really have to take lots of time and consideration as to how you want to achieve the look and what that look will be. Our tongues were hanging out while scanning through these photos to put the blog item together. There is incredible workmanship in here and we know that BangShifters will really appreciate it.

TRJ ? I love . Been a subscriber since Issue #1 . Their shows though and especially their unrelenting promotions verging on harassment of the events to their subscribers ? Not so much 😉

The very first car in the gallery is a Chevy…and how about the late Model “A”s that are in there?… Title should be 30,31,32,33 and 34 Fords and a couple Chevys…LOL!
