SEMA 2014: A Fresh Load Of Cool Cars And Trucks From Outside The Las Vegas Convention Center

The beat goes on here at SEMA 2014. Chad and I are running around the show gathering information on new parts and pieces that we’ll be talking on for weeks, we’re shooting photos like madmen, we’re seeing old friends and making new ones, and we’re not sleeping much. That’s not a complaint because half the reason we’re not sleeping is because when we get ready to slumber we chatter about the cool junk we saw all day like a couple of 12 year old girls at summer camp. The reality is that there’s so much different stuff to see at SEMA that your horizons get expanded and you pay attention to machines that you might not under normal circumstances.

Today’s first batch of photos were all shot outside the Las Vegas convention center. Because of that you’ll see lots of trucks. This year, there are baja trucks, huge lifted street trucks, and slammed sport trucks inhabiting lots of exterior real estate at SEMA. Trucks are certainly a big part of the SEMA experience every year but in 2014 we’re seeing more of them (by a wide margin) than ever before. As you will see, the lifted trucks are not just up and inch or two, those babies are feet above stock. The baja race trucks are spectacular examples of rugged race engineering and if we had the gusto we’d have made off with one earlier in the week. Hey, men can dream, right?
