(Photos by Johnny Gaudette) – Here’s some irony. When this story first hit the front page of BangShift today, Johnny Gaudette could not see it. Why? Because the dude is in class at his high school! Summer has come to an and here in Massachusetts for kids big and small, Johnny being one of them. Unless he’s sitting in study hall with his iPad or some other device, he’ll have to wait for school to let out and cruise his sweet Plymouth home before he gets the chance to check out his photos from the 2014 Cars in the Park car show that was held last weekend in Whitinsville, Massachusetts. This event was a charity to raise money for the community center in the town and people showed up in force to be a part of the fun.

We’re getting into the “later” parts of the cruising season up here in New England and some of us think that it is the best time of the year as the temps drop, the cool fall air means your car makes some more suds and the fun factor gets cranked up a little. Yeah, it is only late August so it isn’t like the glaciers are coming tomorrow but you guys outside of the Southwest that actually have “seasons” understand what I am getting at.

This is yet another example of what seems to be a flourishing trend this year where cities and towns work in conjunction with hot rodders and car enthusiasts to put on fun events that give people a place to hang out and also benefit the community. There’s nothing better than that!
