(Photos by Charles Wickam) – For more than half a century Dallas, Texas area hot rodders, racers, and enthusiasts have gotten together and showed off their stuff to anyone who wants to stop by and check it out at the Autorama and 2015 was no different than any other year. As we told you earlier, Banghift contributors have been bringing pretty much unprecedented coverage of the Autorama events all over North America this year. Right now it is Wickam’s turn to shine as he was the man on the street in Dallas this year. We busted all of Charles’s great photos into a few different collections and this is the first one.

You’ll see everything for laid out creations like the truck above to action photos of Gene Winfield chopping a top right in front of a live audience at the event. There may have been a time when we scoffed at the idea of a car on a rotating platform with mirrors under it and stuff but there’s not a kid that walks into an Autorama show and isn’t dazzled by that. We were and we know thousands of other kids are each year. It is fun stuff and while every car in these photos isn’t something we would want to own, we respect all the various owners and builders who brought these metal creations to life.
