(Photos by Bryan McTaggart) – When McTaggart hit his first Somernites cruise back in May of 2014 he was immediately hooked. The show is a big, multi-day affair with all kinds of activities you can participate in, places to visit, and stuff to do. There’s also the element of just being surrounded in a town full of hot rods for a weekend that is super appealing and Somerset, Kentucky is a great town that embraces these events with open arms. People are respectful of the town and the town is respectful of the show goers so it really is a longstanding match made in heaven.

In this first gallery we’re going to take a look-see at a wild variety of cars that were gathered together in one of the largest collections of cruisers during the weekend. Everything from Fox-body Mustangs to complete rat rods…one of which has eight tiny turbos on it. When we say tiny, we’re not sure where the hell the things came from. They look stolen from a model airplane or something. They may actually be hurting the performance of the car that they are on…then again when you see what they are on, high speeds would be pretty bad for everyone involved.
