(Photos by Scott Liggett) – Our SoCal correspondent had one hell of a busy weekend for himself. Yesterday we showed you his photos from the Bob’s Big Boy cruise and today we’re bringing you his photos from both the Long Beach Swap Meet and later on the Goodguys Del Mar event. Right now it is swap meet time and specifically the coolest cars that Scott saw at the Long Beach High Performance Swap Meet in the early morning hours last weekend. Outside of the scads and scads of parts for sale, there are usually a ton of weird, wild, interesting, and cool cars with for sale signs in the windows, too. As usual, Scott skipped the mundane stuff and stuck to pointing his lens and the interesting and slightly off center vehicles he saw.

By all indication the long running Long Beach Swap Meet is still going strong despite entities like Craigslist and eBay making inroads into other events of this nature across the country. While those electronic marketplaces are cool, there’s nothing like haggling with a guy who may or may not be living out of the van he hauled his parts to the meet with before the sun comes up. The other thing that gets lost with the electronic sources is the ability to yuk it up with your pals when you see some stuff that is priced as if it were cast of pure gold. Yeah, that old Q-Jet isn’t worth $200 bucks, sir.
