(Photos by Scott Liggett) – Last weekend Scott Liggett awoke at the crack of dawn and ambled down to Long Beach, California to take in the coolness that is the Long Beach Swap Meet. They call it the Long Beach Swap Meet but every time Scott sends us a gallery we swear that they should change the name to the Long Beach Car Show. The cars and trucks that show up to be sold or just to pose as being for sale so their owners can park closer to the swap, are freaking awesome. There are hemi powered hot rods in this gallery, resurrected 1970s street freaks, classic trucks, and restored classics as well.

Scott blasted so many photos we’re busting them in half. You’ll get the first dose today and another shot of pure automotive goodness tomorrow. Just when we think we’re starting to get a leg up on everyone with show and race season, the damned California guys put us in our place again!
