Wreckage Photo Sequence: Eddie Prenevost’s Anglia Hits The Wall At The March Meet

Wreckage Photo Sequence: Eddie Prenevost’s Anglia Hits The Wall At The March Meet

(Photos by Zane McNary) – While shooting photos during the March Meet BangShift contributor Zane McNary caught Eddie Prenevost’s hairy ride at the starting line that resulted with he and his little Anglia getting into the center divider before the christmas tree. How did this happen? The car had water coming out of the motor and no one saw it before Eddie hit the throttle. When he did, one tire had liquid under it and as you’ll see the thing literally rotated on its axis and before anything could be done to stop it. The car is very unique and cool so it really sucked to see it get gnarled up like this, but the good news is that the little Anglia will live again as repairs are already underway! The car will be back and better than ever soon.

We showed you some photos from another angle earlier in the week, but these show the whole thing from start to finish, so you can really tell how quickly it all went literally sideways for Eddie. We’re very happy to hear that the car will be fixed and back to racing again. There are very few of these little guys around and it would be a shame to lose one like this!

We wish Eddie and his family the best going forward and hope that this is a one time deal!

I was on the inside when all of this mess happened. It happened within about 9 feet from letting go of the button to impact that is less than the length of my car and it’s short as you can see. This is my first crash at anytime in the last 50 years and I hope the last. Thank You Zane for the great footage and as always Bangshift goes above and beyond for all.
    Fast Eddie
