FBI Searches Ford HQ After Employee Bugs A Conference Room. No, Really, It Happened.

FBI Searches Ford HQ After Employee Bugs A Conference Room. No, Really, It Happened.

This one sounds like it came directly from the Watergate files. A former Ford employee, 43 year old Sharon Leach, had her home raided by the FBI in June. Among items seized were computers, portable hard drives and financial documents. About the same time, Ford’s security people had found that Leach had bugged a conference room with eight listening devices, which she claimed she used to insure that her note-taking was complete. Then, on July 11, 2014, the FBI performed an unannounced search of the entire Ford HQ building in Dearborn, Michigan as part of a federal investigation, warrants and all.

Ford had sought out help from the FBI for a joint investigation into Leach’s activities involving the listening devices and whether or not she was violating law, potentially by stealing trade secrets or just breaking company policies. Her lawyer, Marshall Tauber, maintains that his client was simply using the devices to transcribe meetings, nothing more. As of publishing time, no charges had been filed, but expect that to change: the lawyer on the case is Assistant U.S. Attorney John Tukel, better known as the guy who put the Underwear Bomber away for life.

And this surprises … who ? And err …. why ?

Seriously . Corporate espionage is as common these days as the rain in London or funnel cakes at a midwestern county fair .

The only surprise here being the woman doing the bugging using such antiquated and out of date methods .

I mean honestly . With all the current espionage and counter espionage hardware/software/vaporware now available to anyone with a checkbook and a few minutes time … and this wingnut was using actual physical bugs that by the way should of been detected well before Fords so called security ever caught wind of them . Which tells me …. having multiple friends , associates as well as a close family member in the field ….. that Ford’s security is more Dog & Pony show than competent professionals

Kind of scary to think what else may be walking out the door over Ford way 😉

So now your James Bond , right GuitarSlinger? The former hippie knows everything about espionage now. Maybe she didn’t have a tech associate by the name of “Q”.
With all the bullshit you say on here, I often doubt your “credentials”.
You claim that you are in the “music business”, and you’ve had three Ferraris, yet aren’t hippies against materialism?
Now you are telling us you have friends in the field of espionage.
I know that you are nothing more than a spoiled trust fund baby, whose “music career” never happened.

Any time you post anything, my bullshit-o-meter gets pegged. You’re like that one obnoxious jackass we all seem to have in our social circles who has to chime in on everything as if he’s an expert, regardless of topic.

The truth is that most people like that have such sad and incomplete lives that they are starved for attention and need to find any and every means possible to interject into conversations just so they can be recognized, even if that recognition is as an annoyance.

Yeah, well, the big GM dogs gave every effin’ bit of technical know how to the Chinese to be able to do business in China. They should be the ones on trial!
