It’s pretty well known that the founder of this site, David Freiburger, has moved on to more well-paying pastures as the Editor In Chief of Hot Rod magazine, and has handed this web asylum over to the inmates. That would be me, Brian Lohnes, and Chad Reynolds. Even before Freiburger took his new job there was plenty of talk on the forums about changing the name of the place, and now a decision has finally been made.

FreiburgersJunkyard.com is becoming BangShift.com, the Car Junkie Daily Magazine.

Pretty soon you’ll see a change of the logo on the top of the pages, and pretty soon after that the urls (web addresses) for the site will also change over.

But fear not, all your current links and bookmarks will still function properly. At least that’s the plan.

Stay tuned over the coming days and weeks as the name-change becomes official, then watch for some more site improvements soon thereafter.
