Live Drag Racing This Weekend: DragStory.com to Webcast the 17th Annual Holcomb Civil Wars on MotorManiaTV.com

Our pal and fellow live streaming comrade Mark Walters will be on the scene at Rockingham Dragway this weekend to broadcast the 17th annual Holcomb Civil Wars event on his site, MotormaniaTV.com. The race is a staple event in the small tire drag racing world and some of the best competition from all over the country will be throwing down on the historic quarter mile at Rockingham. Baer brakes threw up an awesome $10,000 purse for this event so that should ratchet up the intensity even more. If you are going to be at the house or at the shop this weekend, tune in to see Mark’s broadcast. He always does a killer job and we know how hard it is to pull these things off.

The epicenter of the small tire world is Rockingham this weekend and you can watch it all for FREE!

Here’s the full press release on the event and broadcast! –

Rockingham, NC – As they work to gain greater exposure for the Sportsman Racer’s across the world, DragStory.com has partnered with Monty Mihko from Yellow Bullet, MIA Wings, Donald Long’s Duck X Productions and Scotty Richardson’s Grassroots Bracket Racing Series to bring you the 17th edition of the Holcomb Civil Wars, live from Rockingham Dragway in Rockingham, NC March 31st and April 1st.

Beginning Saturday morning, look for non- stop racing action with 3 full rounds of qualifying starting at 10 am followed by all class eliminations on Sunday morning at 10:30.

DragStory.com asked Blake Holcomb his thoughts on the webcast, “This will be the first ever broadcast of our race in its 17 year history.  I cannot tell you how excited we are to have the DragStory.com team on hand to cover our event.  All you have to do is go to their website and see they cover every aspect of the event through the live feed, pictures and results.”

Mark Walter, Editor for DragStory.com, is stoked to be in Rockingham for the Civil Wars, “I’ve been watching the folks cover this race on the forums for the last few years and believe it has great potential as a webcast.  With 5 classes of heads-up racing action, Baer Brakes X275, Racecraft/MacFab/DPI Construction Beadlocks Outlaw X, Ultimate Converter Concepts Real Street, SR275, and ODR vs TT5 added to Pro Tree, Footbrake, Open Comp and 2 index classes, this race fits our viewership at MMTV perfectly.”

In addition to 2 days of live race action, look for ‘Live From The Waterbox’ Thursday evening.  This is MMTV’s version of a pre-race talk show.  The participants will talk about the race and what’s going on around the drag racing community.  MMTV is currently working on their guest list and will update folks as soon as they have it locked down.
