Meet the Record Holding Infidel Streamliner: 330 MPH With a Cadillac Engine

Boys and girls, say hello to the record holding AA/BGS (Blown Gas Streamliner) Infidel streamliner run by the guys and girls at Spectre Performance. It’s powered by a twin-turbocharged 529ci Cadillac engine and driver Kenny Hoover set a record of 330.569 mph at the 2009 SCTA World Finals held at the Bonneville Salt Flats.

This thing is visciously bad ass and is off to a great start, capturing the class record in AA/BGS on its mainden event on the salt. The car has an awesome story behind it and is crewed by a dedicated band of people who have undoubtedly sweat, bled, and lost sleep to prepare the rig for it’s salty conquest.

See the extensive story of the car in multiple blog entries at the Spectre Performance site, including many videos.

Wired.com also has a story on this sleek machine singing on the salt.
