NASCAR’s Wood Brothers Take in NHRA RT66 Nationals

The legendary Wood brothers of NASCAR fame recently attended their first NHRA drag race as guests of Bob Tasca III  at the NHRA RT66 Nationals that were contested last weekend. The brothers first struck up a friendship with Tasca when he was shopping around the Charlotte, NC area for a shop building to house his Nitro Funny Car operation.

Granted, the Wood brothers have not fared as well as some teams in the era of huge money stock car racing, but their accomplishments and history in racing are undeniable. It’s pretty neat that they have now had their nitromethane baptism, courtesy of Bob Tasca III.
